Best Dam Run 2009

I ran a 10K with a bunch of friends this last weekend in Estacada, OR. It is a beautiful run along the Clackamas River. The bus takes you up the mountain and you have a beautiful run back down to Estacada. I ran it last year 10 weeks pregnant and loved it so much I decided to do it again. What makes it so fun is the beautiful scenery and running it with friends.

Stephanie, Mindy, Candice, Marnie J, Marnie E and Nichole

There was a total of 14 of us who ran it but I only got a picture of us 6..

Fun Run 2009

Jake ran his little heart out and never stopped!
He sized everyone up while he passed them, he is competitive just like his dad.
He ran 14 laps in 25 minutes!
Enjoying his Popsicle with his bright red face.
I volunteered for an hour punching all the kids cards when they completed a lap. Brynley loved watching all the kids and finally feel asleep.
Abigail, Amanda, Lily and Baylee
Baylee running with the girls, they stayed together the whole time.
Baylee ran 19 laps, what a ROCKSTAR!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!

My parents came to visit us this last week. My Dad had not met Bryn so they made a special trip. We had a great time going to the zoo, watching the kids play soccer, having a BBQ with the Brownings, watching a lot of football (that made Trav happy), going to the coast and exploring downtown Portland. My mom and I even got in a little shopping and Trav and my dad went to a movie.
At the coast we played soccer, girls against boys. Travis also played baseball with the kids and my Dad. Sydney played in the sand looking for shells and Bryn just hung out and watched every one. This is our first trip to the coast since Bryn was born and it is one of our favorite places to go as a family. It was a perfect day and we are glad Grandma and Grandpa could share it with us.

Always a happy girl.

Grandma and Grandpa Moss with the kids.
Four little monkeys.
We even hit the Tillamook Cheese Factory on the way home to get their famous cheese and ice cream.

Syd was so exhausted after this weekend, she fell asleep right on the steps.

Preschool Power

Sydney started preschool this week and is loving every minute of it. She goes 2 mornings a week and wishes she could go every day. It is hard to believe this little munchkin is old enough to be in preschool.

First Day of school

First Day of school already, boo hoo. Baylee and Jake started school the day after Labor Day. Baylee is in 3rd and Jake is in 1st. They have great teachers and a lot of friends in their classes. I was so sad when I dropped Jake off at his class. I walked out with tears in my eyes. I can not believe my baby boy is old enough to be in school all day. He loves taking a lunch and eating in the cafeteria. Baylee and Jake are not grumpy at all when the alarm goes off, they jump out of bed and get ready right away. I am so happy they both love school.

They get so sick of me taking pictures. Jake reminds me of Travis in this picture, acting goofy.
My big 1st grader!
Already hard at work. When I dropped Baylee off she just gave me a quick hug at the door and ran off. I guess she is too old for me to walk her in and make sure she is settled at her desk. After I dropped Jake off in his class and got him settled, I snuck back to Baylee's class and took a couple of pictures at the door. Right after I took this one, she noticed me and was not happy. I guess I embarrassed her but too bad, she is still my little girl.

End of the Summer Adventures

I can not believe how fast time has flown by this summer. It was nice to not have a schedule and we could do anything we wanted to this summer. The kids and I had a fun time playing at the park, playing with friends, going to movies, going to the zoo, etc. The last couple of weeks got to be a little long, the kids do much better on a schedule. They were constantly fighting, complaining and making big messes. The last 2 weeks of summer we tried to do something fun every day to make the most of our last days of summer.
Portland Zoo

Bryn just hung out in her stroller the whole time.

We had to visit the new baby elephant.
The cute sea lion.
Birthday Party
We had a big BBQ and celebrated Trav's 35th birthday! All the kids wanted to help him blow out his candles.
Swimming
We took Brynley swimming for the first time. I love her chunky legs, they are so delicious.
I love her swimsuit cover up and sandals.
Miniature Golf
We went miniature golfing with the Tanuvasas.
I love how the kids are jumping out of Jake's way, he is known to hit the ball pretty hard.
Two very sassy 3 year olds, Taylor and Sydney.

Brynley and her Bumbo

Brynley at 3 months is such an angel. She laughs and smiles all of the time. Brynley has such an easy going personality, she rarely fusses. She is the best baby to travel with and still sleeps through the night. Brynley loves her Bumbo chair, she sits in it in the middle of the table while we eat dinner and just grins at us. We love our little Brynley girl!

Visiting one of our favorite places...Montana

On our way back from the reunion we decided to head up north and visit Missoula. We loved living in Missoula and met some of the most loving, humble people there. We drove by our first house, it has not been kept up very well. It was our first house and put a lot of love and hard work into the house and yard. We have many fond memories there and brought 2 of our children home from the hospital to that house. We drove by Baylee's preschools, our church, the hospital where Jake and Syd were born, and some of our favorite places to go while we lived there. We had forgotten what a beautiful place Missoula is with all the Mountains and rivers surrounding it.
We stayed at the Godfrey's house that night. Our kids played together like they had not been a part for the last 3 1/2 years. Carrie and I stayed up late talking about life. Earlier that night we had a big get together at the Banna's house where 7 other families came over for dinner and fun. We are so grateful for the forever friends we made in Missoula.
