New Blog Name

I have noticed on my friend's blogs they all have cute little "Blog Names". Well, I have decided to try to come up with my own instead of the boring and typical family name. I have been talking to Travis about this and he thought everyone I brought up was super cheesy and corny. I am not the creative one in our house, it is definitely him but he is no help when it comes to this subject. The one I decided for now is "My Little Sunshine". With each one of my babies since they were born, I sing the song, "You Are My Sunshine, My Only Sunshine" before I would lay them in their cribs. Each one of my kids would look up to me while I sang to them with big grins on their faces. (I also used to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" after I sang the sunshine song.) This blog is all about our little family and the joy our children bring into our lives. My goal for the month of January is to print the last 2 years of our blog into a book for my kids to see all the adventures life has given us.

Bryn and her favorite toy.

We were going through the kids' old baby toys and found this vibrating jumping toy that Baylee used to love. Brynley got a kick out of it and the kids loved watching her giggle.

New Years in Washington

We went to Travis' sister's house for New Years this year. All of his 5 other siblings were there so it was a party 24/7. Our kids love playing with their cousins all day and night. We ate a lot of yummy food, played games, played in the snow, laughed a ton and just enjoyed being together. I did not get a lot of pictures of the festivities but here are a couple of some of the cousins.

Uncle Matt popped in the picture as we were trying to get the babies to look at the camera.

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas with just our little family. This was Brynley's first Christmas so the kids wanted to make it extra special. Christmas Eve we had a wonderful night reading the Christmas story out of the scriptures. We love to sing Christmas carols and talk about why we celebrate Christmas. We also let the kids open up one gift which is always jammies and we got Santa's plate of treats ready. Every year we make reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter) and sprinkle it on the lawn, so the reindeer can find our house.

Christmas morning the kids woke up around 7:00 and we let them open their stockings before they ran to look what was under the tree. We had a great time opening presents, there were a lot of surprises for them.

Travis and I made a big breakfast of waffles with strawberries and whipped cream with sausage (Jake's favorite) on the side. We played all morning with new toys and games before heading off to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Squeakual" with the Howes Family. Bryn had a wonderful first Christmas and loved playing with all her new toys.

Baylee wrote the letter to Santa, it is pretty funny!

Jake got a skateboard.

Baylee, Brynley and Sydney got a huge Barbie dream house to share.

Baylee and Syd got an Easy Bake Oven from Grandma and Grandpa Moss.

Baylee got a docking station for her iPod, she was so excited!

Bryn woke up after we had opened everything, she was still a little foggy here.

Zoo Lights

We finally had a nice night in Portland without rain so we decided to go to the zoo to see the Zoo Lights. Last time we went it was pouring rain and we were all miserable. We had a great time being together and seeing the beautiful lights.

Brynnie was snug like a bug in a rug, she kept me warm.

Jake the Snake
They loved watching the fish.
